臺南好友來訪，既然都是花男單車隊的一員（花男隊成員，請見 這篇 ），當然免不了單車行程。 當然囉，要給好友「總統級」的單車路線。我可沒吹牛喲，人家在入口處就立個招牌歡迎我們了…… 不過現在應該沒人想做臺灣的總統了（還是我太天真？其實還是有很多人不切實際？），這總統的大夢還是收起來好了。這招牌是上個周末正牌的馬總統來花蓮時做的，不過這「馬」屁也拍太久了，人家馬都跑掉一個禮拜了，立牌還不改，難道放著聞屁香嗎？ 這條是花蓮最新設立的單車路線，取名為白鮑溪單車道，可以和鯉魚潭環潭單車道結合一起遊玩（比如說還沒有單車道前，就曾 這樣 玩過）。 臺南好友遠從臺南帶來他的GIANT TCR，大頭青當然也把塵封許久的OCR2請出來以免落後太多囉。 該員未婚，意者請洽大頭青…… 雖然是號稱總統級的路線，不過沿途設備似乎還沒有完全到位，有點不禁懷疑是不是因為馬總統要來，急就章的要拍馬屁……但沿途的風景真的不錯，這天非假日，路上沒有車，我們著實享受了非常恬靜悠閒的單車路線。 沿路的路標在地上指示的蠻清楚的，我覺得這是單車道很必要的設計。 moreSan Francisco: Biking the Bay (again)

Resolved Question: Are Shimano PD-M505 pedals Mountain bike pedals?
I bought a bike from a friend, a giant ocr2 and it is a road bike. Upon buying it it came with the pd-m505 pedals and after some research it appears that they are mountain bike pedals. Can anyone help close this case? and if this is the case should i invest in new pedals? i have been riding road bikes now for about a year, and started out with a cheap 250 dollar Dawes Lightning, to see if i really would enjoy the sport. I have fallen in love with riding daily and usually do 15-25 miles a day. I want to upgrade to a lighter, faster, and better bike. The Dawes bike weighs about 26 lbs and i want something more around 20 lbs. I have been looking on ebay for used bikes that are relativly new (only a year old) and have found a few that look promising. I would like to get some feedback on which bike would be best for me. I need some help deciding what bicycle to buy here, budget is an issue and these are my options thus far. First of all these first 2 used bikes seem to be in great working order. The first is a 2003 Giant OCR2 used roadbike that has seen about 200 miles, and is going for 500$, there is a 2006 Giant OCR3 going for 440$ that has seen 100 miles or less. Finally, I'm considering just going all out and bankrupting myself possibly, and purchasing a new 2006 Trek 1000 road bike for 700$. Any recommendations on what I should go with? Hey, I have a 2000 maybe 2001 giant OCR2 that has come to the point tha t it nees some upgrades. A new Bottom Bracket / Drivetrain system, as well as new front end. Fork, Headset, Stem / Handlebars. Right now it is running a 9-speed Shimano Tiagra Front and Rear, with a triple up front. When all is said and done this is going to be a double.
